- New Fitipower base signals shift towards high-value semiconductor design
- Move strengthens Malaysia’s push into high-value chip design and innovation

Selangor has strengthened its push into semiconductor design with the establishment of Fitipower Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Fitipower Integrated Technology Inc., at the Malaysia Semiconductor IC Design Park in Puchong.
The company has commenced operations at the park, an initiative spearheaded by the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) to position the state as a regional hub for IC design and high-value semiconductor innovation.
The launch was officiated by Ng Sze Han, Selangor State executive council member for Investment, Trade and Mobility, and attended by representatives from Sidec and Fitipower, reflecting continued collaboration between the state government and global semiconductor players.
The establishment of Fitipower Malaysia further strengthens the IC Design Park’s role as a platform to attract global IC design companies, nurture local talent and accelerate Malaysia’s transition into higher-value semiconductor activities.
Chairman Young Lin of Fitipower Integrated Technology Inc. said Malaysia’s engineering talent, established semiconductor ecosystem and supportive government initiatives made it a strategic location for the company’s overseas research and development expansion.
Operating from the park, Fitipower Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. will focus on IC design R&D in Display Driver IC, Power Management IC and Edge AI SoC technologies. By leveraging regional capabilities, the company aims to accelerate product innovation, expand its global presence and create long-term value for customers and shareholders.
Following the launch, the parties will also explore future collaborations in semiconductor talent development, industry partnerships and technology innovation.
