- Evolves from tech programme to national drive for women in Indonesia’s digital economy

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) has announced the transformation of its SheHacks initiative into a nationwide movement, aiming to enhance digital inclusivity and support women’s empowerment in Indonesia’s technology sector.
Launched five years ago as a technology-driven program, SheHacks now operates as a broader movement, highlighted by the introduction of SheHacks 2025 and the #UnlockingShe campaign. The initiative seeks to address the gender gap in technology and digital entrepreneurship by providing women with greater access to opportunities and resources within the digital landscape.
Reski Damayanti, chief legal officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, commented, “SheHacks is no longer just a program. It is now a movement-a movement to dismantle the barriers that prevent women from dreaming, creating, and leading. Through SheHacks 2025 and #UnlockingShe, we aim to build a broader and more inclusive space for women to innovate, empower each other, and drive real change.”
A key development this year is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with UN Women, reinforcing Indosat’s commitment to fostering an ecosystem that supports women’s empowerment. The initiative also involves strategic partnerships with the Australia Indonesia Institute and nine other organisations.
