NetApp appoints Kenneth Poh as country manager for Singapore and the Philippines

  • Will lead NetApp’s operations & go-to-market strategy
  • Over 20 years of IT experience with expertise in storage, AI & big data

NetApp®, the intelligent data infrastructure company, has appointed industry veteran Kenneth Poh (pic) as country manager for Singapore and the Philippines. Poh will oversee operations and go-to-market strategies, focusing on driving business growth and strengthening customer and partner relationships in both markets.

As AI increasingly integrates into daily life, nearly half (49%) of technology executives in Singapore prioritise investment in data management and infrastructure, according to NetApp’s 2024 Data Complexity Report released in December.

However, long-term success in AI requires organisations to address significant challenges, including data complexity, security, and sustainability, with greater commitment and resources.

“I am delighted to welcome Poh to NetApp. His exceptional track record in driving business and helping organisations harness the power of data makes him the perfect leader to unlock our customers’ full potential. With his leadership, I am confident we can scale our operations and achieve our growth ambitions in Southeast Asia,” said Henry Kho, area vice president and general manager for Greater China, ASEAN, and Korea, NetApp.

“It is a privilege to join NetApp, a consistent leader in the data storage industry,” said Poh. “This is an exciting time as the region advances its AI growth with Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0 and the Philippines’ National AI Roadmap. Leveraging NetApp’s 30 years of innovation and expertise, I look forward to helping businesses become more innovative and resilient in today’s era of data and intelligence.”

Poh brings over 20 years of IT industry experience, specialising in storage, AI, and big data. Prior to joining NetApp, he served as district director for the public and corporate segment at Dell Technologies, where he led a high-performing sales team and drove business growth. Poh has also held leadership roles at multinational IT firms, including Dell EMC, Oracle, HP, and Sun Microsystems.
