101 Digital appoints Sachin Rajat Sharma as chief commercial officer to accelerate global growth

101 Digital, a next-generation provider of digital banking solutions enabling embedded finance, greenfield digital banks, and the digital transformation of traditional banks, has announced the appointment of Sachin Rajat Sharma (pic) as its chief commercial officer. Sachin brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in driving innovation and business transformation across Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East.

Founded in 2018 by Rana Peries and Rajiv Ellepola, 101 Digital has been at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge banking solutions to leading financial institutions across Africa, the UK, Southeast Asia, and beyond. Sachin’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the company seeks to expand its footprint and deepen its impact in these markets.

With over two decades of experience, Sachin has led transformative initiatives in banking, payments, and insurance. He is renowned for launching pioneering solutions such as nexus, a multi-award-winning banking-as-a-service platform, alongside other industry-first innovations in digital banking and customer engagement. Prior to joining 101 Digital, Sachin served as chief product and commercial officer at Audax Financial Technologies, where he co-founded the organisation and scaled it to serve multiple enterprise clients within its first year.

In his new role, Sachin will drive 101 Digital’s global growth strategy, lead market expansion, and strengthen partnerships with key financial institutions. His leadership will focus on delivering differentiated value propositions, building high-calibre teams, and fostering innovation to transform the digital banking landscape.
