MilikiRumah, a Singapore-headquartered proptech company focused on expanding homeownership in Indonesia, has appointed former PropertyGuru executive Faizal Abdullah (pic) as chief commercial officer as it enters its next phase of commercial growth.
According to the company, Faizal has already contributed to a 50% month-on-month increase in revenue since joining in May 2026 and will lead efforts to strengthen commercial operations, expand partnerships with property developers and banks, and scale the company’s AI-powered housing finance platform.
“We’ve proven the model works — now we’re scaling it,” Winston Lee, co-founder and chief executive officer, MilikiRumah said.
“Our focus for this next phase is disciplined expansion by strengthening our commercial leadership, deepening developer and bank partnerships, and continuing to build the technology infrastructure that makes us the go-to platform for housing finance in Indonesia.”
The appointment reflects MilikiRumah’s focus on expanding its commercial operations as it grows partnerships with property developers and financial institutions across Indonesia. The company said Abdullah’s experience in scaling businesses will support its next phase of growth and help deliver greater value to its business-to-business-to-consumer ecosystem.
MilikiRumah operates an AI-powered rent-to-own programme alongside an AI-driven software platform that helps property developers assess prospective homebuyers’ eligibility in under five seconds. The company aims to improve access to housing finance for Indonesia’s underbanked population.
Indonesia has an estimated housing backlog of 15 million homes, with millions of households unable to access traditional mortgage financing. MilikiRumah believes technology can help bridge that financing gap by enabling more consumers to qualify for home ownership.
Faizal brings more than 26 years of commercial leadership experience across Southeast Asia, having held senior positions at PropertyGuru Group, Rumah123, KOCO Indonesia, PT Alam Makmur Property, Motorola Solutions, Hewlett-Packard and Getty Images.
At PropertyGuru Group, he helped grow revenue by 35% year on year as director of sales support and enablement before serving as acting country manager for the company’s Indonesian marketplace business. More recently, as senior vice president at Rumah123, he led the company’s largest business unit, delivering 65% year-on-year revenue growth while expanding its customer base by 40%.
“Indonesia presents tremendous opportunities for MilikiRumah to empower the underbanked to become bankable homeowners,” Abdullah said.
“My focus has always been on translating strategy into measurable execution. At MilikiRumah, I am building a more agile, high-performing commercial and marketing organisation that delivers sustainable growth while placing consumers, developers and banking partners at the centre of everything we do.”
The appointment comes as MilikiRumah continues expanding its AI-powered housing finance platform and commercial partnerships across Indonesia. The company also confirmed that former co-founder and president director Marine Novita left the business on 7 April 2026.
