- Triple Accelerator expands support across deep tech, retail tech and digital assets
- New Wira AI programme aims to accelerate AI adoption and productivity among SMEs

The Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) has launched the Selangor Triple Accelerator Programme 2026 at MRANTI Park, expanding its flagship accelerator framework to three tracks with the introduction of Token-X, a new digital assets and tokenomics programme, alongside the established Deep-X (deep tech) and Retail-X (retail tech) tracks.
The launching ceremony was officiated by Chang Lih Kang, (pic) minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, and the welcoming address was delivered by Yong Kai Ping, CEO of Sidec. The event also marked the launch of the Selangor AI and Semiconductor Summit (AiSEM) and the introduction of Wira AI, a new artificial intelligence adoption programme for SMEs, underscoring Selangor’s focus on industries central to Malaysia’s economic future.
Three tracks spanning the digital economy
The Selangor Triple Accelerator Programme brings together three complementary tracks. Deep-X supports deep-technology startups in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, biotechnology, robotics and sustainability, taking founders from proof of concept to investment-ready solutions. Retail-X helps consumer-facing SMEs across five sectors — food and beverage, fashion and lifestyle, health, beauty and wellness, home living, and social-impact brands — transition to digital, data-driven and omnichannel operations.
Token-X, introduced this year, supports startups in digital assets, blockchain and the emerging Web3 economy, spanning real-world asset tokenisation, commodities and carbon credits, digital securities, blockchain infrastructure and regulatory technology, and digital intellectual property.
What participants gain
Selected startups and SMEs across all three tracks take part in a structured accelerator designed to move them from idea to investment-ready, scalable businesses. Across the programme, participants gain:
- Structured mentorship from experienced industry operators, founders and experts;
- Access to investors, venture capital and funding opportunities;
- Hands-on adoption of relevant technologies — from artificial intelligence and deep tech to retail technology and digital assets;
- Market access, brand visibility, and connections to customers and ecosystem partners;
- International expansion pathways through Sidec’s World Stage Venture missions, including to South Korea, Singapore and Shanghai, China; and
- A clear route from proof-of-concept to commercial growth, supported by a network of more than 30 ecosystem players.
A Decade of Impact
Since 2015, Sidec has delivered more than 80 initiatives focused on digital transformation, empowering more than 70,000 technology entrepreneurs, SMEs and startups, and generating US$172 million (RM732) million in gross merchandise value.
Its accelerator programmes have produced measurable results. Deep-X has completed eight cohorts, attracted 1,129 applications, nurtured 270 startups and helped them raise US$48 million (RM204 million) in funding, supported by more than 30 ecosystem players including ten venture capital firms. Retail-X has accelerated 110 SMEs across three cohorts, generating approximately US$42 million (RM180 million) in sales.
“At Sidec, we have learned that the most powerful way to support our businesses is not through incentives alone, but by building capability. The Triple Accelerator and the new Wira AI programme reflect that belief, and our deepening collaboration with MRANTI is helping our innovators bring real solutions to market,” said Yong Kai Ping (pic), CEO of Sidec.
“At MRANTI, we are increasingly guided by a Mission-Driven Innovation approach, bringing together ecosystem partners around opportunities and challenges that matter to Malaysia’s future. The Selangor Triple Accelerator Programme reflects this spirit by creating pathways for innovators, businesses and investors to collaborate, scale and deliver meaningful impact,” said Ashran Ghazi (pic), CEO of MRANTI.
Introducing Wira AI
Alongside the Triple Accelerator Programme, Sidec is introducing Wira AI, a new programme created to help small and medium enterprises move from interest in artificial intelligence to practical, everyday use.
While many SMEs recognise the potential of AI, they often face common barriers, including limited AI implementation capability, disconnected digital tools and workflows, a lack of automation knowledge, and difficulty translating AI into measurable business results.
Wira AI is designed to address these challenges directly. The programme helps businesses deploy practical AI solutions, automate workflows, integrate AI into daily operations, and build scalable AI capabilities. Its objectives are clear: to accelerate AI adoption among Malaysian SMEs, improve productivity, and strengthen the wider digital ecosystem.
SMEs ready to make artificial intelligence a genuine business advantage are invited to register their interest in Wira AI through Sidec.
Launch of the Selangor AI and Semiconductor Summit
The ceremony also saw the launch of the Selangor AI and Semiconductor Summit (AiSEM), reflecting the priority Selangor places on artificial intelligence and semiconductors — two industries at the centre of Malaysia’s economic strategy. Held alongside the Triple Accelerator Programme, the summit reinforces the state’s commitment to building talent, capability and investment in these high-growth sectors.
Global Pathways
Through Sidec’s World Stage Venture platform, participating founders have gained access to international markets and investors, including missions to South Korea, Singapore and Shanghai, China with engagements involving global technology and commerce leaders such as ByteDance, Xiaohongshu and Google Cloud.
These pathways form part of Selangor’s broader “Selangor Plus Everywhere” approach to building partnerships with economies across the region and beyond.
