AMD appoints Vinay Awasthi as senior vice president, Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan

AMD, the leader in high-performance and AI computing, has appointed Vinay Awasthi (pic) as senior vice president, Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), where he will lead regional sales strategy and execution across one of the company’s fastest-growing regions.

Based in Singapore, Vinay will focus on strengthening customer engagement, expanding OEM and channel partnerships and aligning go-to-market strategies across APJ to support growth in cloud, enterprise, AI, commercial and consumer segments.

The appointment comes amid rising regional demand for AI infrastructure, accelerated computing and data centre technologies across Asia Pacific.

Vinay brings more than two decades of global sales leadership experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining AMD, he served as senior vice president and global head of Compute Sales at Qualcomm. Before that, he spent 21 years at HP in multiple regional and global leadership roles. Throughout his career, Vinay has built strong customer and partner relationships while driving sustained growth across international markets.
