Team Lewis launches Training for Trust, a first in biometric-based media training

  • Set to serve private, public and third sectors in key industries
  • Facilities will be available in 26 Team Lewis offices worldwide throughout 2025/26

Team Lewis, the global marketing consultancy, has launched Training for Trust™ (TFT), which it claims is the world’s first biometric analytics and training service delivered from purpose-built studios.

Developed in the UK, US and Malaysia over the past six months, TFT uses a combination of AI, facial, voice and eye contact recognition software, machine-based analysis, modelling and proprietary coding to score presenters, PowerPoint materials and propositions for integrity.

The tool tracks eye contact and gaze direction, analyses voice for pace, volume and clarity, and performs multivariate emotional modelling across composure, concern, tension, positivity, attention, aversion, caution and interest. It then uses AI to summarise results across the criteria of trustworthiness, confidence, credibility, engagement and authenticity. This allows key moments in discourse to be identified and analysed.

According to the company, the service operates under controlled conditions from its brand-new facilities in central London and delivers a read-out analysis to calculate an overall quartile trust score for delegates. From this flows a tailored training needs analysis.

TFT has multiple applications across shareholder and internal communications, investor analysis, security and safety, litigation and compliance preparation, crisis training, witness preparation, and candidate appraisal/vetting. It is expected to be used across private, public and third sectors in verticals such as agritech, banking, finance, automotive, biotech, construction and cybersecurity, among others.

The consultancy stated that it has global clients in all these sectors, who will be offered priority access to the new purpose-built facility at Battersea Power Station, London. It will be rolled out to similar studio laboratories in 26 Team Lewis wholly-owned offices around the world throughout 2025/26.

The company added that the proposition has been developed for senior spokespeople and can simulate conditions such as a live broadcast or social media news environment. It reveals key analytics around questioning and crisis response to deliver communications that are both reliable and measurable.

Delegates undergo a ‘control’ session for baseline analysis. This involves live questions from a journalist or trainer, while being confronted with AI-prompted social posts, real-time news, financial data and video simulations. They are analysed across a balanced scorecard, which produces a detailed read-out with clear improvement points and development recommendations.

The AI tool can also analyse existing and historical communications submitted in video or presentation format. Bespoke assets can then be developed within other creative AI packages. These can be produced rapidly via the company’s follow-the-sun global production studio system.

“The experience Team Lewis has developed makes you feel like you are in a real broadcast environment. I have supported senior executives with media training on numerous occasions, but Team Lewis’s new training for trust offers something completely different,” said Steve Smith, VP global energy management communications at Schneider Electric.

He added, “The constant interaction and real-time information on the screens truly puts you to the test. Getting detailed reports analysing your performance, coupled with an immediate playback, are powerful tools – it reinforces the observations and advice provided by the trainer and helps you gain a 360° understanding of your performance. I recommend this training to any senior company spokesperson who wants to feel comfortable and prepared.”

“This is the first ever machine-based analytics that can test for integrity. We can now make what was previously subjective, wholly objective and comparable. We don’t know of a product like it anywhere in the world, and we’re already working on the next version, which will be able to scrape internet data to add a reputation score to the trust analysis,” said Yvonne van Bokhoven, chief operating officer at Team Lewis.

The Team Lewis London studio is located in the heart of the new Battersea Power Station development, adjacent to Apple’s European HQ. The state-of-the-art space is equipped for a range of uses, from simple filming and audio recording to virtual production, Dolby Atmos mixing and experiential activations. The studio is available for rental, dry or wet hire, with staff always on hand to provide support.
