Krenovator Technology Sdn Bhd (Krenovator), an AI-powered tech talent platform focused on sourcing and cultivating talent for enterprises, has announced that it has secured seed funding from Ignite Asia, a venture capital and private equity firm operating in Singapore and Malaysia. In a statement, the startup said the amount remains undisclosed, and the round was officially closed in early 2025.
The newly secured capital will be strategically used to expand Krenovator’s team and strengthen its marketing and sales efforts.
Founded in 2019, Krenovator has evolved into a leading AI-powered tech talent platform, empowering enterprise clients across the oil and gas, logistics, manufacturing, finance and banking, and telecommunications sectors through its IT services. The company currently serves clients in Malaysia, the Middle East, and Europe.
According to Krenovator, its key strength lies in a sophisticated tech talent sourcing strategy. Using its proprietary AI-powered platform, the company has access to nearly 30,000 skilled tech professionals—software developers and testers, business analysts, and data scientists—primarily in Malaysia and Indonesia. This extensive talent pool enables Krenovator to efficiently identify and present top candidates for clients’ critical projects. The company stated that this distinct capability has become a key differentiator, attracting enterprises seeking premier tech talent.
At the same time, Krenovator’s platform continues to grow as a vibrant ecosystem for tech professionals, offering tools for career skill enhancement, enabling peer connections, and fostering a strong community.
Mahadhir Yunus, CEO of Krenovator, said the funding from Ignite Asia validates Krenovator’s approach to solving the tech talent crunch. He added that the AI-powered platform gives the company an edge in sourcing top-tier talent in Southeast Asia, and that Krenovator’s understanding of enterprise IT needs allows it to deliver exceptional value to clients.
He noted that the investment will drive further platform growth, team expansion, and market reach.
Jake Thui, vice president of investments at Ignite Asia, said they are impressed by Krenovator’s innovative approach to the tech talent space. He added that the platform’s AI-driven sourcing and enterprise-focused strategy offer a strong value proposition, and that Ignite Asia is excited to support the company’s growth in the region.
Krenovator’s core activities involve strategically sourcing and cultivating the top five percent of tech talent in Southeast Asia to support enterprise IT initiatives. Over the past two years, the firm has grown its talent pool in Malaysia and Indonesia to nearly 30,000 professionals, achieved a 98% client satisfaction rate, and doubled its client base, which includes public-listed and Fortune 500 companies. The recent acquisition of major international clients highlights the importance of this seed funding in supporting its continued growth and delivery.
Looking ahead, Mahadhir said Krenovator aims to triple revenue and double its clientele in the next 12 to 18 months, while introducing new services including enhanced IT offerings and potentially Software Tester as a Service, all grounded in its strength in tech talent sourcing to support enterprise digital transformation.
